
Charitable objects
- The promotion of community participation in healthy recreation in particular by the provision of facilities for the playing of football and other sports.
- To act as a resource for young people up to the age of 25 living in Bolton, and the surrounding areas, by providing advice and assistance and organising programmes of physical, educational and other activities as a means of: (a) advancing in life and helping young people by developing their skills, capacities and capabilities to enable them to participate in society as independent, mature and responsible individuals; (b) advancing education; (c) Relieving unemployment;
- Providing recreational and leisure time activity in the interests of social welfare for people living in the area of benefit who have need by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disability, poverty or social and economic circumstances with a view to improving the conditions of life of such persons. nothing in this constitution shall authorise an application of the property of the CIO for the purposes which are not charitable in accordance with [section 7 of the charities and trustee investment (Scotland) act 2005] and [section 2 of the charities act (northern Ireland) 2008]

Achievements from March 2023 to June 2024
During this period, Moss Bank Foundation successfully:
- Secured funding to maintain 12-acre grass facilities and improve the facility.
- Delivered 28 coaching sessions per week, benefiting over 460 children in safe and inclusive environments.
- Expanded sponsorship opportunities, including Naming Rights and shirt sponsorship, strengthening financial stability.
- Hosted structured CPD sessions to empower young and female coaches, reinforcing inclusivity and skill development.
- Celebrated Volunteer and sponsorship appreciation with a recognition night.
- Celebrated young people’s achievements with a whole organisation presentation day.
These initiatives directly contribute to the Foundation’s mission, creating lasting opportunities for young people and ensuring grassroots football, sport remains accessible to all.
Looking Ahead
Moss Bank Foundation remains committed to building a sustainable framework for grassroots football multi-sports, ensuring diversity, inclusivity, and long-term community engagement. Future plans include:
- Further expansion of coaching programs to reach underrepresented groups.
- Enhancing mentorship opportunities for aspiring coaches.
- Strengthening fundraising strategies to support large-scale community projects.
- More opportunities for young people to develop other skills in sports including media, coaching other sports, and other links with supporting organisations.
- Over 12 Pop Ups events across the Football Club/Community.
- Partnership working with another charity and business.
